Guido Westerwelle, the new German Minister of Foreign Affairs, is not able to talk proper English. Therefore he rejects the reporter's question by using a lame excuse and acting arrogant. See here why he tries to avoid English:

  • Sorry, I really don't get this... Just how is that arrogant? If Obama was interviewed in the U.S. by a German journalist, I doubt anyone would say he's arrogant if he refuses to do so. Or Gordon Brown in the UK. So why was he arrogant for using his own language?

  • Fuck the BBC and this arrogant journalist.

  • Was ist denn mit Westerwelle passiert? Ist das etwa ein Anfall von Nationalstolz? Bei deutschen Politikern recht selten.

  • @guerriero667 Fuck motherfucking Westerwelle! He is the most stupid german politican since Hitler! ;)

  • Westerwelle didn't "reject the question". He simply refused to respond in English after a British journalist, provocatively, asked him to "please be kind eough to respond in English". He knew exactly that Westerwelle has a language issue.

Westerwelle's response was not exactly "diplomatic". Speaking a language has nothing to do with where you are. English is the lingua franca of our world and German is not. As simple as that.

Westerwelle didn't exactly excel in charm school.

  • I am from germany and i have to excuse for him. Sadly we can not get rid of him before 2013. So please be patient we will solve the prolem then. TY

  • Thanks for your response and comment, but if you are really so anonyed by other people´s typos, then check your spelling first :-) Wenn man im Glashaus sitzt, soll man nicht mit Steinen werfen ;-) Have a nice day! (=> I KANN say?? really??)

  • @broney25 this ist annoying isn't it ^^
