@sleachpots yer man i cut and spiral wedge. its really more easy then just wedging the ox horn type shape.

Wow! That was wonderfully informative. I've always been interested in pottery but until now wasn't serious about getting into it. Your videos have been both inspiring AND educational. I've watched a few but they all seem to be from quite a while ago. I really hope that you're still active and sharing with us currently.

Ok. I admit I am justt getting started. You said you weren't going to wedge it, you were just going to knead it. What is the difference, bot purpose and technique?

kneading i refer to is spiral kneading .Wedging is cutting & slamming down ,turning thro 90 deg & repeating.I believe US folk clasify it all under one word 'wedging', hence the confusion. SL
