ABOUT CLAIRE BOCCHINI: Claire Bocchini, M.D., is a pediatrician and infectious disease fellow at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital, and currently serves as president of Doctors for Change, a nonpartisan, 501(c)(3) organization that focuses on improving health care in Houston and Harris County. Dr. Bocchini was named a Truman Scholar in 2000 for her efforts in child advocacy and improving access to care for children. She also represents the Texas Pediatrics Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Bocchini is currently involved with CHILDREN AT RISK as a member of the Public Policy Advisory Board and the Board of Directors. Her major advocacy interests include improving access to both primary and specialty care for kids, obesity prevention, and immunization awareness and education.
