Back on this day in 2008, the New York City Council voted to change the term limits law, thereby allowing Mayor Michael Bloomberg to seek re-election. The action by the City Council, lead by Speaker Christine Quinn, undid the term limits approved by New York City voters, who had previously passed two referendums that had restricted the service of elected politicians to a limit of two four-year terms.

In his exposé, Donny Moss reported that in all the time that Christine Quinn has been Speaker of the New York City Council, not one gay rights bill has been introduced. Speaker Quinn has subjugated herself to the will and domination of Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

Meanwhile, NYU keeps evicting small businesses, tearing down historical landmarks, and destroying the Village. All these disasters keep happening -- and more -- and Christine Quinn doesn't care. She just wants to collect more scrapbooks of pictures with herself in the background.

I can't stand her politics and her James Cagney-esque facial features. She rules the city council like a despot and should've been born during Tammany Hall's reign of corruption.

I hope I'm not made a target for retribution by the City Council, the way that they attacked the office of the Public Advocate. With the budget year beginning on July 1, the City Council slashed the budget of the Public Advocate by 40% ! (Remember how last year the Public Advocate opposed the extension of term limits ?)
