Brooms Up! -- Division 1 College of Charleston Quidditch Team Interviews -- World Cup V in New York

Meet Zach, Austin, Jana, and Keegan -- four members of the 45 member College of Charleston Quidditch team who just returned from the 2011 Quidditch World Cup in New York City (the team has a travel roster of 21 members). See some video and pictures from the trip as well as hear their thoughts on what it's like to travel with the team and play this challenging new sport.

The College of Charleston Quidditch team was founded in 2009 and was the only team from the South to attend the 2010 Quidditch World Cup in New York where they placed 12th in the world.

For the 2011 Quidditch World Cup, the team headed to Randall's Island, New York City, where they were the only team from the Carolinas to compete in Division 1. They competed against both the highly-ranked University of California -- Berkeley and Boston University; the team scored wins against Lafayette College and Harvard University.
