I think when you use air canisters, or em leaf blowers(;D), you are supposed to block the fan from spinning to prevent damage.

@PrOsY2 In that case it should work fine. Try reseating the card and check if your molex-pcie adapter is connected properly. Those things are usually loose on old power supplies. Also check if the fan of the video card is spinning.

@GaxAngel Pshhh cable management shmable management. It's all a waste of time. This computer has plenty of airflow and runs extremely cool. As far as I'm concerned bad cable management is good cable management. The way I see it, having more cables everywhere gives the dust a place to get trapped out in the open in the middle of the case for you to clean out easily, in a place that wouldn't harm any hardware. =]

Cant you get one of those air purifiers or something to reduce dust? Seems like it would save you guys time

@SamWilber I have a huge air purifier in the middle of my room. In fact it technically makes it worse since it uses the power of negative ions to reduce the particles in the air. By doing so, the dust sticks to things, but it definitely makes the air more breathable.

also dont get the new ivy bridge processors when they first come out. bad idea. although they will be insanely fast, you're going to end up spending over $3000.

@AnythingLoud No, the prices are listed on Toms Hardware and are similar to Sandy Bridge. Core i7 $294... Where are you getting your info? haha
