3 Alarm Fire in Irving, Texas on 6/6/2009. This was a house fire. 7 engines, 3 trucks, 2 battalion chiefs, 2 medics, the EMS supervisor (520), the air and light unit (555), Box 4 unit 896 (Dallas area fire buff club rehab unit), and the chief of the department (501) were dispatched.
Honestly it pisses me off seeing people insult the guy for doing something he enjoys doing. It's pathetic how determined they are. Great video man, my dad was on the trucks 20 years so I've had plently of time around stuff like this, it's a rush! Keep em coming man
There are 2 BCs on duty at all times (BC 1 at Stn 2 and BC 2 at Stn 11). There is also 520, the EMS Supervisor, at Stn 3. There are no Deputy Chiefs on duty 24/7. The Chief of the Department (501) gets dispatched to fires at the 2nd alarm level. There is a unit 500, but I haven't figured out what that is (it may be the Mayor, but I don't know).
The Dallas FD has 2 Deputy chiefs on duty above the BCs. D1 is quartered at Stn 55; D2 is at Stn 1
Ah cool video man, i have an okay video of Poulsbo's E71 and M71 getting dispatched to Taprock Bar and Grill check it out leave a comment or something, keep up the great work.
Hi. I was hanging out at home w/ my scanner on when the 1st alarm came in. Dispatch said "let's go now" before giving the assignment, which means their phone is ringing off the hook. Quickly went to a 2nd alarm once the 1st companies arrived. Is fairly close to where I live, so I decided to go check it out.
I love the Irving Fire Department... hate the police...
