Senate candidate, Peter Schiff, was invited to attend the November 19, 2009 Woodbury, CT Republican Town Committee meeting. After his formal presentation, Mr. Schiff, who is also a famous market capitalist, fielded questions from some patriots in a side room at the Town Hall Annex.

Specifically asked about Sarah Palin and his own potential Presidential prospects, these were his replies.

Schiff has the charisma and intelligence to be President, and I think he's the best possible candidate this country has to offer.

Every Presidential election that comes up, I find myself thinking "THESE are the people we can come up with from this great country???"

I don't have that thought with Schiff.

Schiff's accuracy, and ability to "get" what's going on, comes from his uncanny ability to be objective is the face of minute to minute distraction. He's talking about Palin exactly as one would expect him to. Of course, I would vote for a Schiff/mollusc ticket before I'd ever vote for a Schiff/Palin one.

He needs to distance himself from her. She's extremely ignorant and simply repeats the same old lines about government destroying the economy and free markets without truly understanding the issue. Kind of like a Sean Hannity, no substance.

I dis-respected Ron Paul during the election but the more I learn I realize that he is not the idiot he was portrayed to be.

the tea party movement will cease to exist when Palin (or any other true Republicans) become leaders...

Libertarians, if anyone, should be "leaders" for these events...people like Peter Schiff, Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Badnarik...etc.

I know, Ron Paul is listed as Republican...only to be allowed on ballots, too many States discriminate against lower populous parties.

you are right, todays Americans - when compared to the past Americans - know very little in respect to Liberty, Freedom and Life in general...dont get me wrong, we are by far an overall smarter group of people...not due to public education, due to innovation...but, media and public education has kept the main aspects of Life (Liberty, Freedom and Rights) out of the main stream while the government has crept in and taken ahold of them...
