i just want to say i admire you for your selflessness in this situation. you will for sure miss your husband and your kids will miss their dad. (or you did) and you continue to understand and be ok with the fact he is helping those less fortunate than you and your family. i hope all went well for your husband and family.

@jankovi13 Thanks so much. Everything went very well. He's been home now since Feb and won't deploy again until later this coming year. ;) We're very lucky to have him home for over a year.

Hell my name is mercedes! My husband just left for his first t.d.y for 2 months. This will be the first time that I've ever had to deal with him being gone cause he was already in the military when I met him. So I was wondering if you have any advice for me! And i'm terribly sorry about your husband having to leave again I really am!! All the love and god bless you, Mercedes

@AnnMercedes I am sorry that I'm just now getting to this and I hope your husband is home by now. My advice to fellow military wives is to breathe. Get up, put one foot in front of the other, and carry on. Just as the Marines say, "Adapt and overcome." We have our jobs, they have theirs. We're their support and that's the best and proudest job in the military.
