San Jose Giants prospect Chris Dominguez homers twice and singles during an April 10 California League game. The 6-foot-3, 215 pound third baseman was selected by the San Francisco Giants in the third round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft out of Louisville.

Any chance this kid ends up a big league regular? Everything I have heard is that he strikes out too much and is barely average at 3B.

He's a long shot so his chances aren't good for those reasons you mentioned. At 24, he needs to rip California League pitching and get to Double-A by the second-half.
