Here's our group hiking in one of the mud caves off S-2 in the south. (mile 46).
I used a video light with snap-in 2 hour Li-ion batteries. Much better than flashlights, you can see the small light pattern they throw. This is why the video worked OK. If you have autofocus and use flash, it tends to focus on the dust grains on your lens protector when taking stills.
Jeff started a crawl at the end of this cave where the roof opens up, to another hole called 'E-Ticket'. In a wash nearby is the famous 'sandman' (and woman), a pair that previous visitors have each added one sandstone accretion to. some of the pieces look like vertebra. After we left the gal now looks like Madonna and the guy is fully functional. :)
We also saw fabulous desert lilys, sand verbena..
