http://kyegrace.com I am horrified by a Vancouver Realtor's website. In effort to provide a quality website on Vancouver Real Estate for consumers I spend time each week looking for ways to improve my site. Part of this research is observing what other Realtors have done with their Real Estate site.
I stumbled across a website while researching what makes for a great site for home buyers that made me cringe.
Now to be fair this Realtor likely doesn't know any better and was told by someone to do it this way. I am giving them the benefit of the doubt.
My issue? To receive any of the info on each page you have to provide ALL your contact info to this Realtor.
Despite the extremely enticing titles, really who is going to do this? And this info is not 'free' it comes at the cost of becoming a lead.
Bottom line, Realtors need to understand the days of hoarding and guarding information in order to 'create' a relationship are DONE!
Provide an abundance of valuable transparent information to consumers and they will begin to trust you.
Use a blog to let them know who you are and what you believe in.
Start building a relationship like you actually want one with them. Stop starting a relationship with people like they are a lead that may become a commission cheque.
Relationships are about listening, sharing, adding value and entertaining people.
Not by talking at people, withholding information and putting your needs first.
