@n00bXafif Most mother parrots will assist the baby once it has broken shell. Once the baby has done the hard part the momma bird will start to remove the shell from the baby and eat it. It is a good source of calcium for her. Thus she is being 'green' and leaving such a small, very teeny tiny, itty bitty footprint on this planet. :-D

Ok seriously... a mother bird will assist the offspring once the baby has begun to crack the shell. It's okay to assist it but you cant crack the egg yourself, the baby has to do that first before being assisted. Shut up all of you for bitching about her assisting the baby because there is nothing wrong with it, the mothers in the wild do it also. And about her nails...seriously? A mother bird's beak is way sharper and at least she is being gentle. Damn people just enjoy this wonderful miracle.

@SquishyEvil Yes, and those nails resemble talons as well, so it's probably comforting to the baby bird! :)

can you imagine how annoying/exhausting it would be to have to break out of that egg as an infant...whew I'm glad I'm not a bird.

you shouldn't be helping the parrot while it's freeing itself though but still nice vid :)
