i thought the same..

2 of these would be nice but then again there are better ones out there
-
My thoughts exactly - what about the corssfader?
-
Stanton SCS1M Mixer Control Surface is the way to go I reckon..... bit pricey though. Two decks and a mixer and your tickling a grand.... you get what you pay for though with music gear.

Ouch.. They have magnets in them? Was just thinking of mounting em on my guitar or something, similar to Muse using a Kaoss pad..
The magnetic field will probably screw up my pickups..

That's a relief. I really want one of these, and the magnet concern was the only thing standing in my way. Thanks for the response.

How can you connect the headphones for prelisten or connect the external mixer with this unit and speakers? Do you need external soundcard or...?

no, it needs an external soundcard, this is just a controller

I love the idea, am almost definitely going to buy one, but here's my concern: there's a magnet built in to you can stick two of them together. Fine, but these are being marketed as a controller you can toss into your laptop bag. Magnet's + Laptops/harddrives= panic. Am I wrong about this? If not, it seems like a pretty serious design flaw.

That's what we thought! But it's a low power magnet and the units are so light they dont need a strong magnet to keep them together.
