@pib06jm Don't project your willful if not feigned ignorance on others. She is guilty and she received both a fair trial and fair appeals. Carty's petition to the US Supreme Court was rejected.

The Supreme Court is of limited value if it can't function as an appellate court protecting such a basic constitutional right, the right to a fair trial. It's baffling how the highest court in the US can so dismissive of decisions that people's lives depend on.
I don't know enough about Carty's case to confidently assert whether she's innocent or guilty. I'm sure the writers of the comments below don't either. I DO know she has been denied fair representation. Unlawful and unfair.

To bad the baby won't ever see her MOM! Let alone ever getting the chance to know what a real mother's Love is. Linda did this to herself. Justice shall be served, if not on earth than it will be in Heaven or Hell.

The jurors didn't understand what decency and mercy are all about? You mean they didn't understand that it is not decent to kidnap the mother of a four year old daughter and smother her with a plastic bag?
