A few scenes from a dive at Blackmans Bay, south of Hobart on 14-02-2009. Visibility was less than ideal on the day, and please excuse the shaky camera work! Camera used was a Sony HDR-SR7 fitted with a UR PRO CY colour correction lens. Please watch this video in HD mode :)

P.S the jerky glitches that happen sometimes have only appeared since uploading to youtube

  • Well yes there are thousands of fish in that area but I would say the majority are a lot deeper than you can breath hold dive. Plenty of species down there aswell i guess it depends what you like eating :)

  • really nice shots, just north of the beach?

  • Thanks :) All footage was taken around the rocky outcrop at the right hand side as you face the beach, maybe 30m or so off the point.

  • Hey I live in Tasmania. And I go to blackmans bay quite a bit, rock jumping. I was wondering have you noticed many decent sized fish around where you dive? I have just got into spearfishing and was wondering if you have any tips on where there are a decent amount of fish. Thanks.

  • Love the shark and the Ray!

I think that those spots on the ray were reflecting IR, cos they were glowing nicely :)
