Another chapter in my "biographer" series - this time detailing what I feel to be an important step along my personal path: it is a musing on the wonderful stories and lives which have captured my heart - these amazing, never to be forgotten tales of Scottish history and chivalry from the 1600s and 1700s. It is true these are sometimes very hard stories, dealing with cruent battles and deeds of sword and blade, but there is something more shining through for me to see and feel - and that is the sheer magic of the loyalty and the iuron will of these people. Loyalty indeed, courage and abnegation are everywhere to be seen in the life stories of these amazing people: and it is to such life stories and such events that I have decided to devote my life to as a biographer. God grant me the gift to be a good one - I will certainly be a faithful one, as faithful as one can be when dealing with people who have kept their promise and pledge literally until the very end - and beyond.
Music by Capercaillie, from their wonderful "Glenfinnan - Songs of the '45" album.
