World Travel : Trip 090 : Nepal, Island Peak Trek : Take Off from very short runway at Lukla Airport

Tenzing-Hillary Airport also known as Lukla Airport, is a small airport in the town of Lukla in Khumbu, Solukhumbu district, Sagarmatha zone, eastern Nepal. A program entitled Most Extreme Airports broadcast on The History Channel in 2010, rated the airport as the most dangerous airport in the World.

Here yuo can see my view of the Take Off from just behind the Cockpit of the Aircraft. I'm not sure if it was actually 'dangerous' ... but it was certainly rather exhilarating!!
