Three years on Parris Island and we are done! I finally have been able to put together a video JUST FOR HIM. I am so proud of all his accomplishments! Not only is he a great Marine, but he's a husband and a father FIRST. Some men excel abundantly in their careers at the cost of their marriage and families. My husband always put his family first, rather that meant being with us during his time off, or just getting out of bed to face another work day. He is truly a gift from God. And all the recruits that trained under him as a senior will tell you the same thing. He is the true definition of a MAN.

  • Sweetie,i had a couple questions for you.How long is DI school? Is there a limit as to how many yrs he can be a DI? what time does he come home from work, and get up in the mornings? I'm sure it must be hard having him work such long hrs. hardly seeing him . b4 my hubby was forced to retire from his job, i had a rule..leave work at the front door. His home is his castle,a place for happiness, relaxation, serenity and i kept it that way.

  • @thecolaratlady DI school is three months. DI duty is three years with a minimum of 1 or 2 years before you can return (I think). He got up at 3 am and got home around 8:45pm sometimes earlier sometimes later, depending on where they are in the cycle. every 2-3 days he would have duty, but that depends on how many hats per team and how new the hats are. He worked approx. 18 hrs a day 7 days a week for 3 months at a time with a week or 2 in between each cycle 3 mths for 3 yrs.

  • Without men like your husband we wouldn't have our beloved Corps. Semper Fi and happy birthday.

  • @lovethotna Thank you friend

  • @bma051000 Ever hear the term, there's no such thing as an atheist in a fox hole? You don't hear an athiest under mortar fire praying that science will save him from the fire, hoping that a wind current picks up to adjust the velocity of a mortar round so it doesn't hit him. The first thing you hear? "God keep me safe" or something along those lines. You want to claim a respect for the military and all of us who wear a uniform? Then shut your trap about things you don't understand.

  • @bma051000 do u know wtf would happen to u if you said one nation over God and a unit cadre member heard you?

  • @MarineDIwife Ok thank you. Makes me even gladder that i made the decision i did when i was like 15

  • @TheLogan1156 thats because political correctness has given the military no choice. I you want to lick turtles butts for a religious reason, im sure there is some "law" given you that very right on the governments dime. BIG WUUUUUP.

  • @TheArmydude050290 Is that why there's an entire organization devoted to atheists serving in the military?
