RHCP was like a Phoenix rising from drug addled ashes w/ John in the band. Now...well they are about the same as Aerosmith or (god forbid) The Rolling Stones...they no longer have any edge...there is no Captain Beefheart or Zappa or Funkadelic in their "true" vibe any longer..I would not be disappointed as someone inspired by this band to just see them call it a day. They had an awesome run...it's coming to an end now.
