Kaspar is the greatest! The problem with the audience is they're Germans! He's not. This is romantic music and they're not. A stunning interpretation. Wish he'd come to the USA.
Kaspar does an overall Scintillating, Amazing performance replete with plenty of poetry. As for his audience...they don't deserve to hear a performer of this Magnitude. They are filled with self absorbed, jaded lethargy and a deeply dumbed down state of consciousness. They sit there as if, 'ho-hum how nice.' And couldn't someone have removed they Fire Extinguisher "Eye Sore" in the background just for this performance?? Doesn't anyone have any esthetic sense at all anymore??
great playing. a little too fast here and there but i like the interpretation overall. some parts were played wrong though, i'm guessing he forgot some notes. maybe that means he didn't practice a whole lot.
Honestly, there is no actual 'end' to the 2nd movement! Rachmaninoff wrote it as an "attaca", meaning the 2nd movement rather 'flows' into the 3rd movement, as opposed to ending directly.
that was deserving of a standing ovation! These audiences don't have a clue what we go through to give those kinds of performances. Brilliant playing!
