Every airport is open to a terrorist attack and anyone who thinks that if terrorists couldn't get through standard airport security screening any any airport of their choosing is in complete denial about how the world works. Anyways, why are you picking on me over this? I simply love planes and SNN is my local airport. It is a great airport for spotting unusual aircraft so that is why I make videos and post them here.

Certainly. Take a right at the first roundabout after you leave the M18 motorway onto the N19 heading towards towards Shannon airport and town (signpost for Newmarket-on-Fergus). Immediately, you will come to another roundabout. Take the second exit from this roundabout following the signpost for Shannon Aerospace. Go past the end of RWY 24 and take a left into the Shannon Aerospace anf another left almost immediately. You will see the car park at the threshold to RWY 24. Enjoy!

@tonymctigue i was looking at google maps do you drive past the carpark? is there a house on the right that leeds up to the runway

@crstian2009
There is a two houses on the right hand side very close to the runway. This video was shot from the car park. The road continues through the car park inside the airport perimeter fence so it is closed to the public. There is a large gate at the far end of the carpark separating it from the airside. There is another spot at the end of RWY 06 but you rarely get to see much as RWY 24 is more often than not the active runway.
