Translating autism into meaning - a birthday

Some of you might think me mean... yet on Alexander's 9th birthday I pretended to have forgotten his birthday. It was a test...I wanted to know how much did my son understand about the concept of birthdays... Also he loved red - the colour red. I wanted to know if he could settle for a candle that wasn't red - because life doesn't always give what you want. Enjoy and don't forget to look at the first video - the one with the scream .
