According to the film-maker, "The film was taken with an 8 mm home movie camera during the summer of 1967. The aircraft is the F-105 Thunderchief flown from Korat Air Base in Thailand."

Also, there is a monkey.

"There is a 50 min edited version o...f my movies from the war with narration and sound effects on the website www.burrusspta.org/thud."

  • I believe Tom Norris filmed this in '67. Some of the film shot from his cockpit is outstanding, especially the in-flight refueling.

  • I enjoyed the memories. The pilot with the monkey was in the 44th TFS, indicated by his Vampire patch (my squadron).

The aircraft landed on runway 06.

To the right of the runway was the Thai Air Force section of the base.
