How about we just call him a magnificant talent, with a passionate message that Cat Steven's really wasn't about. Glen Hansard's song writing hasan intent to purvey a feeling, not just some Cat in the cradle with a silver spoon over and over again. No offense to Cat or his fan's....The comparison is like apples and orange's. :) I can't say enough about Glen, and my inspiration's as an artist are the Vai's and Nuno's...never the less this guy has broadened my horizon's.

There is something so soul finding about his music and those with Marketa Irglova... i'm in love with their music.

In terms of genre their not that similar to Cat stevens.
Although they have a similar message and th voice is a more mellow cat stevns i think you could say that.
Non the less I do think that these guys are what would happen if cat stevens knew about colplay.
A more mellow song. This is excellent.
Let's not call them cat stevens or coldplay or mettalica ( ...) Let's say their The swell season.
