Raptors 127 Nets 129-Final (OT)

On November 21, 2008, during the 2008-2009 NBA Season, the Toronto Raptors hosted the New Jersey Nets in what was one of the games of the season.

The New Jersey Nets, amidst the crowd booing heavily at Vince Carter, fought back from an 18 point lead in the 1st half to tie it all up in the end of the 4th quarter, with a 3-pointer by none other than...Vince Carter.

In overtime, the Raptors and Nets traded buckets until about 2 seconds left, when Net SF Bobby Simmons inbounded an alley-oop pass to which Vince Carter grabbed and reversed dunked it through with 1.5 seconds left. This would be the game winning dunk, as Raptor SG Anthony Parker would miss a halfcourt heave.

I know its about management. I mean I think the Raptors had 2 different GMs and 4 different coaches in just 5 years that VC was there. I may be wrong, but the numbers are close. I know VC suggested Julius Erving as a manager when the first one got fired, and Erving did step foot at the Toronto Airport, but never had a meeting...so he went to Dr. J's own New Jersey Nets. Coincidence?

I am a Raps fan and I will admit that VC is good....but he is arrogant and and some day he will get slapped down because of it. As for TJKILLER1 comment...your Nets are only up 2 wins and just like the Raptors you won't make the playoffs this year. Where's your precious VC now Nets fans?

Well I can understand that VC was the face of the Raptors before. I can also understand that VC went through 3 or 4 different coaches and 2 different managements during his tenure as a Raptor. He also wanted to pick the coach for the Raps. But what I don't understand is why he gave up. He should have played on even though Toronto was in some staff turmoil. He should've never give up.

Well, remember the Nets are only 1.5 games away from that 8th spot.

It's amazing how you can predict the future and say the nets wont make the playoffs, your right on about the Raptors though, but at the end of the day you have the Rupaul of centers on your team, who I think is overrated, by the way I'm Canadian and if it wasnt for VC there would be no bball in Toronto

and Carter's reaction while he's still in the air after he made that dunk seems to say to all the Raptors fans and to the announcers: "EAT THAT! Bitches!"

Typical VC hater comments. Make accusations without any proof or evidence. VC is not "arrogant". He is probably the most humble player in the NBA.
