Robot number 13 can't make up its mind. It has a 5 on its back throughout the looting of the House of Jewels, and a 13 on its front-- When Superman catches up to it as it flies away, it has a 13 on both sides. This is still my favorite Fleischer SUPERMAN, though, and unlike most of them, Lois is actually in danger BEFORE Superman busts into the villain's lair!

But really though. The art and animation in these Fleischer cartoons are impressive. Such great use of lighting and shadows too.These cartoons were made in the 1940's and are almost 70 years old now, and they still look very impressive. I wish most modern cartoons could look this good.

Well comic writers have to do something to keep readers even if it means going crazy with the stories. But the 40s style Superman I would want, would use these cartoons as inspiration and visual style. Snyder's style is dark and gritty and really stylized and more dark noir. Theres nothing wrong with that its just it doesn't really fit Superman in this style, which I think is the best.

With the introduction of that psychopath Prime, the Superman fiction has become pretty dark lately anyway.

I dont know, He would probably make it way too violent and dark for Superman. I really dont know who I would want to direct..

There needs to be a Superman movie taking place in the 1940's, and it needs to be directed by Zack Snyder.

I don't follow them either; I just read the encyclopedias but I like to keep up to date on the stories.
