Kittens born at Willows Animal Sanctuary 2011
Willows is home to around 300 rescue animals plus Willows has run a unique Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) Programme for people with severe mental health difficulties, for approximately ten years. The first person to benefit was a seriously unwell boy with anorexia he was painfully thin & had a feeding tube attached to him, but after one particular encounter with a horse everyone at Willows realized that animals can empathise with vulnerable people, and provide therapy that no drug or human can give, he went on to make a full recovery. Around 3 people benefit daily form the AAT program at Willows.
