The lift itself is complex, there are 3 different movements involved in getting to up-standing position with the plates. Each one focuses primarily on the drive of the hips, erectors, and reverse lumbar support from interabdominal pressure. It's a dangerous lift, as you can see, and requires strong core. Do not attempt without coaching.
