Good actors make such a difference in a movie.

@TheNMR1 Actually, it's Houmas House. The Oak Alley mansion was used for Mary Astor's house.
-
Thanks, suspected it was some grand southern mansion just have never seen anything quite like it. Great movie & just as spooky as when first saw it almost (gulp) half century ago; as for cast creme of the crop?

@gyrene1966 It's the famous Oak Alley Plantation in Louisiana

Intrigued by structure @1:13 Know it's some kind of Grecian Revival Colonial but columns on both sides, this active home builder's stumped;

Sounds like the narrator on Lost in Space...

Clearly, having Bette Davis eyes is not always a good thing.

I finally got to see this movie the other day and LOVED it. For those that didn't notice, Victor Buono (Sam Hollis) and the taxi driver were both in Baby Jane, as Edwin and Baby Jane's father respectively.
It was a great script, and definitely scarier then something like Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Agnes Moorhead was AWESOME.
