  • These outbursts of violence by the Uighers and the Tibetans are the result of tensions caused by these people feeling :

    1) Their culture is being eroded by the influx of Han settlers,

    2) Resentment that they are being economically and culturally marginalized in their own ancestral land,

    3) Treated as second-class citizens and discriminated against by the majority Han Chinese.

  • The senior monk, Jigme, who like many Tibetans uses just one name, was detained after he put an account on YouTube about being abused when he was detained previously during a crackdown that followed riots across Tibetan areas of China in March 2008.

  • CCP rules by fear. They use the same methods as the Nazi's. Inhumanity as a way to gain complete power. Sick!

  • Beijing - A Tibetan Buddhist monk who was detained for six months without charges after he posted a video alleging rights abuse on YouTube has been released, two of his lawyers and an overseas group said Thursday.

  • Thankyou.

  • Thankyou so much for releasing this video with the English translation.

  • A man of true courage. His name, Jigme, means "fearless". Thanks for putting the videos together with English subtitles.

  • We (Rights groups) says it was encouraging the government had made the effort to put the document out, but noted that similar pledges had been made before with no change, contra worsening Human Right. We want to see more action instead of words.

"The proof in China is always going to be in the implementation and that is where the problem lies."
