Investigating complaints by pedestrians and drivers alike, the Jersey Journal's Torres Brothers visit Hoboken's problematic and perilous intersection at Hudson and Newark streets.

The next day the Journal's video team found that the city was responding to the cries for help by erecting utility poles for traffic lights.

  • I also was born & raised in Manhattan. I live in Jersey now & have driven thru Hoboken countless times. This intersection is 1 part of the problem. The true problem is the Hoboken pedestrians. I have never seen anything like it. Not even in Manhattan. They are the most careless, horse blinder type people ever to cross streets. They always cross without looking! Don't take my word 4 it, drive thru & you will quickly see what I'm talking about. Very, very careless pedestrians.

  • @PussyeverydayIEat i was born and raised in manhattan shithead, its where i currently live

  • @skymunro

How do you like living in the DoucheBag capital of the world?

  • holy shit!!! Why did it take the summer of 2007 to put up the light!?!??!!? I am afraid to ask but who had to die in order for city hall to take action?? Thats a bunch of legislative red tape bullshit!! Its not the city's responsibility or discretion to put up a light they have to ask the state?!?!?!

  • Checked-out the intersection on Google Street View and it shows the intersection with the lights installed but not operational yet. They might be on now, as Google tends to be frozen in time. But cool to see the update of "bagged" signals and stop signs. And they continue the legacy of NJ.'s one signal before the intersection.
