What I love about Morgana is that she doesn't need a romance to define herself as a character. She's an emotionally complex character with strong political opinions and intelligence (which was shown much longer before Arthur even had any) and her "evil" side is perfectly justified.

I really hate it when fans say she needs a romance with someone in the cast. Is making a political movement against her own family not enough?

I recently went back and watched season one from start to finish in two days. It shocked me to see 'nice Morgana' and then it hit me... Morgana is fighting for what she truly believes in. That's what she did from the beginning, the druid boy, Morgause, and the whole Uther thing. Plus overthrowing Camelot. Sure she's selfish and a bit of a power trip but she's a determined, faithful person. I love Katie/Morgana!

@watxdoxuxdoxallxday When I say perfectly justified, I mean we know how she got there in the first place and I can't really blame her for following the path that she did.

She also killed those people because she wanted to give Uther a taste of his own medicine. Plain and simple. I may not agree with many of her choices, but it's clear why she does them.

@FantasmaLuna "perfectly justified?" killing uther, that was justified. he was a mass murderer and a tyrant who, despite a few redeeming qualities, would keep on killing and oppressing. but she kills innocent people and smirks. even cenred told her "how cold you are." the old morgana would never fire crossbows into the crowd to gain loyalty. she told uther "the more cruel you are the more enemies you'll make." theres strong politics, and then theres moral depravity.

Even though I think the Morgana of now is great, I miss the Morgana of the beginning...

And NOT being a damsel in distract is crucial to make me like a female character!!!

I do love Morgana. She's absolutely amazing not to mention SO beautiful!

I wouldn't say she's the most developed character on the show, but I guess that's up to opinion...

But yeah ...I think the fact that she stands up to Uther and doesn't get executed for it is not just a testament to her bravery, but also to Uther's love for her. Everyone hates him for how he treats her, but he obviously does value her council, even if he has a hard time admitting it!
