This performance of Billy Cowsill and the Co-Dependents (Tim Leacock bass, Steve Pineo guitar, Ross Watson drums) was recorded on June 02/2001 at the legendary Mecca Cafe on the outskirts of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Two weeks after this performance the band recorded two CD's at the same location "Live Recording Event" and "Live at the Mecca Cafe Volume 2. Both discs are available at CD Baby.

  • Beautiful!! Billy was a giant of a talent and the Codependants compliment him perfectly--vocally and instrumentally.

    I had my musical time with Billy in Vancouver-late 80s and early 90s--pre Blue Shadows with Elmar and Jay.Thanks for posting this gem

  • ..... lol ... yes guys .. you ust to listen to the cd all the time ...... .... we ust to go to the Meca all the time ,,,,, smoke herb out back , drink beer inside , and watch steve tim and ross start it off , Billy yodel his voice in the parking lot , then give a perf each time like it was his last ..... Its too bad the masses now didn.t show Billy then what they do for him now....... yours truly ; bitter pwea .

  • We used to listen to the cd "On the floor of heaven" all the time. This was one of our faves. Great song.

  • Check out the songs from the Blue Truck album on youtube Pointmax Music. I did this album and others with Billy about 12 years ago, great Billy backing harmonies. My daughter cried all night when she found out her Be-Bop man had died. Kevin Dunn.
