I die a little every time I think about the fact that he came to this country (NL) the year this was filmed and I wasn't aware, didn't have the means, or whatever it was, to get to see him play. Still have the vids like this though! Thanks for sharing.

Thats true the tone doesn't come from just the gear its the playing.

It is amazing that he got that tone out of two Line 6 Flextone amps and the Line 6 delay pedals. I guess that goes to show that true tone comes from the fingers. It is pretty much identical to the tone he got with the Holmes amps and the Westbury overdrvice pedal

Shawn is playing through the profex 2 here into the line 6 amps. The profex is line level stereo out so it wont hurt the front end of say tube amps.... Its sitting on the table right next too him and you are hearing the Holmes Westbury sound only from the Preamp... They cloned the settings for him when the Holmes amps were going south...

@trex257 Not to mention the modded pre-amp peavey gave to him when he had to sell his gear for some extra money. I recently purchased one, and I must say, it emulates the westbury/nady overdrive pedal quite well. Like he said "If you fiddle around with it, you can get almost any sound out of it". Btw, it's the Peavey Pro Fex II, in case you wanted to know :)

Shawn was so great. I do wish he would have ventured into playing through changes more. This kind of static harmony doesn't hold my interest long, even with his cool lines.
