When all is said and done, whatever's written in your heart that's all that matters, thankfully that's the gift that Gerry left us, just whatever was written in his heart. Thanks for pouring it out, Gerry, thanks for letting me see we're all part of a family tree. I was just waiting for the right moment, I guess.
Oh God, Gerry, you left us way too soon! You were so under-rated and under-appreciated. Yet, you were and are one of the most influential musical talents I've had the privilege of experiencing. Godspeed on your journey to the wonder that awaits you beyond this world. I'll see you again soon enough!
They played this on Radio 2 the morning of the news of his passing. I sat in the carpark of the supermarket transfixed by this beautiful song. I was remembering how he was the soundtrack to my turbulent younger years, lost loves, happy times, lonely periods culminating in a contented middle aged woman. Thank you Gerry. RIP xx

This was "our" song.
Our relationship burnt out after a few months, and she is now deceased.
But this song said it all at the time.
