I found this game on one of my many C64 tapes when I was a kid and I'd "play" it from time to time.
Since as you can see the game has no title screen or any kind of beginning I thought it wasn't a game but a program made by aliens that lets you remote control a powerful spaceship using your Commodore 64 and that what you see on-screen is actually the spaceships control panel/dashboard whatever.

The game lets you explore the galaxy and blow planets up, so one day I somehow found the earth by accident and blew it up.
I was scared to death, I thought I gave the spaceship a command to actually blow the earth up for real, I couldn't sleep for a week waiting for the damn planet to blow up and then realized that "hey, maybe the aliens saw I gave the spaceship a wrong command so they stopped it from destroying the earth, cause if they destroy it who'd remote control the ship"

  • Where did you get that game?

  • Commodore 64 ROMs are extremely easy to find, dude. I'm not sure if it's against the youtube ToS to post links here, but trust me these things are easy as hell to find.

  • It worries me a bit that you obviously had no problems going around in space blowing up other real planets : P

  • Reading your description makes me relive my overactive imagination as a child, such rich, indelible memories.

  • I used my c64 to blow up the world and then traveled back in time before the Earth blew up and stopped myself because I had to have a place to sleep--and nobody believes me!

  • Great description! xD <3

  • EPIC STORY!

  • @Blahdabbadoo

Same here. I was "playing" games on my dad's computers and had my own Sega Genesis (with Streets of Rage 2, awesome game) by the time I was 3 years old.

  • @ThePinkhamsterino Everyone has the right to have a childhood. I know mine involved the Atari, and playing games where I had no idea wtf I was doing. Just managing to move a guy across the screen was progress for me.

  • So this is what ET gets up to when he leaves earth. BLOWS UP PLANETS!

  • Yeah, I don't believe that story about thinking you blew up the earth. If you were that mentally challenged they wouldn't have let you touch the computer. You might have gotten drool on it.

  • Ah, Captain Blood. What a game! I played it a lot on my trusty Atari 520ST

  • How the game is called?
