  • Damn miracle anybody survived Cold War 50's and 60's propaganda.

    Saying that an area is safe 90 seconds after an atomic bomb blows up is pretty stupid, by any standard.

  • Gamma radiation will. Alpha and Beta particles are a different matter and weren't well understood in the 50's.

    Incidentally, this film was made by the same company that made the infamous (though public domain) "Duck and Cover," but this film was more serious and not meant to be shown in classrooms like "Duck and Cover" was.
