I laced a set of wheels for Danny back in the early 90's. Not only was he "pin the throttle" fast, he was a great guy to talk to also. I was very sad to hear is passing.

Damn,,,, what's the hurry? somebody told me that when he goes through the real rocky rough stuff,,,,he closes his eyes.

ok i can answer most of the ? no they did not speed up the film & i did some thinking & this is from 92 me and Casey marked the course 5 days in the rain so that's why the dirt looks heavy & no dust & I know it 's not 93 94 because Danny won the Tonopah 300team race & he had a big smile he said i roosted Roeseler i won by 17 seconds about how much time you lose overshooting corner LR did it 1 time more than i did today & i think Ty was LR'S teem mate! in 93 Danny & LR one togather & ME IRONMAN

# 19 I will look it up if i can find that program and i do belive that was when he seiesed his engin about 2 miles off the start and i was working the corse and i rode over and talked with danny and we figierd out that he was in a spot where a truck could get to and the pit was real close even i remember the big smile when he realized he was still in the race & he was not a guy that would be mad. i never seen him get upset always a smile so i hauled ass to a cb and he got new engin indy style
I think that most people (outside of the off-road community)have no clue what it is like to ride in the Desert at very high speeds... It is such a rush that perhaps only driving F1 or Jet Fighters would be better. It del;ivers such an adrenalin rush like no other!! Living life right on the edge of death and when you cheat it by pulling off a spine chilling manuever that gives you a shit-ass grin and no one else sees it, but you know it, that is living life to the fullest...Wide Fuckin Open!!!
