Main Combi 24 HE - How to reset the flame failure lockout

Boiler was in Sellons Avenue, Harlesden London NW10. Job came through the Brent Age concern, so I had to go although the weather was too bad and the roads were mad with black ice. Boiler was on flame failure lockout. Client try to reset it many times since the morning. I arrive at mid day. Pressure was ok, so I reset the boiler and open the hot water tap. ( Turn the selector dial to reset position until the lock out light extinguish) Boiler start firing fine. Client was asking what have I done to make it work, well I just reset it. Now its working fine. ( it could go to lock out again if the flame sensor is soothed so boiler service is needed) The boiler was installed by others about three years ago. The boiler was neither benchmarked nor serviced. I advice to get it serviced , but the client needed to contact the Landlord to make a decision. Anyway client is happy that the boiler is working now and want to leave it until the landlord send their engineer to service it....... well I gotta go now.. Good Luck.
