  • BWP was the girls. Not too many other female rappers can bring it like this anymore. Only ones that can bring it now are Gangsta Boo, Da Brat, Lil Kim and Missy Elliott. Latifah fell off after "Wrath Of My Madness", "Evil That Men Do" and "The Pros"w/ Daddy-O. And MC Lyte went mainstream R&B: remember her crushing jams "10% Diss" and "Paper Thin". Monie Love was a joke. Yo-Yo was rocking for a minute. J.J. Fad was just that: "a fad". Finesse & Synquis were one-hit wonders. Salt 'n Pepa rule.

  • Roxanne Shante demolished Sparky Dee and the Real Roxanne. She then tore everybody up with her song "Big Mama". Sweet Tee and Antoinette were cool. Antoinette's 2 songs by Mantronik: "The Fox That Rox The Box" and "Let's Take It From The Top" were raw and hard. Nikki D had flow. Boss tore it up. Choice was decent. H.W.A. was a mere cash-in attempt. But much love to all the female rappers for stepping up and telling it like it is.

  • the boys from No Face without Ed Lover

  • The other female MC's I mentioned like Boss, B.W.P., Sweet Tee, Nikki D., Yo-Yo, Salt 'n Pepa, Gangsta Boo, Da Brat, Missy Elliott and the rest are great performers but I never claimed that they were great "MC's". Latifah went R&B. Like Roxanne Shante said Monie Love was cold garbage. J.J. Fad was just that, a fad; although Baby D. could have been huge. Gotta love Salt 'n Pepa though. And Gangsta Boo brings it raw. But I was a little upset when MC Lyte starting doing R&B jams though.

  • @ViviDPerez And I am sorry too. I love MC Lyte. I give her big time props. She is probably the second best female MC in the world and one of my personal favorites. But she got her style from Roxanne Shante aka The Queen Of Hip Hop. Shante talks about when she was performing, new jack female MC's would come to her shows to study her style. Listen to Roxanne Shante's "Big Mama". #1 Roxanne Shante #2 MC Lyte #3 Antoinette. Period.

  • @luvindogadis411 Lol I'm sorry but the top you listed still dont even come half as close as MC Lyte. They still alright tho dont get me wrong.
