  • Excellent interpretation, passionate, sensitive, precise. Thank you Russia !

  • Thank you very much for this excellent performance of the complete Johannespassion.

    Very well.

  • @vollzeitberliner I disagree. This was performed as a piece of music at a State University... not at a Church. Many people enjoy this as pure music and not as a religious offering. At least they didn't applaud after each movement. Long live people who show and demonstrate their appreciation for music. Churchgoers make your own decisions, but don't enforce your opinions on secular lovers of Bach. This audience was passionately joyful, unlike the stoic German Lutherans that I have to serve.

  • @mauszi33 Your opinion only. As a conductor, I appreciate it when people applaud the musicians who have worked so hard, the composer who wrote it ,and the God Who glorified the entire thing. "Give thanks in all things." It spoils nothing!

  • Is this the end ? I have a CD version conducted by Helmuth Fritz, and it ends with 5 others tracks.

  • yes, I totally agree. I sing in a church choir and we always ask the people not to applaud after the concert..it spoils everything

  • real great! but the audience should be told, that this is a passion music and because of that it's not common to clap hands at the end.
