thank you dr. slamon. herceptin saved my life before it was fda approved. i had a huge tumor 4"x3" + it shrunk until it was undetectable at mastectomy biopsy. (1st year i was very ill from congestive heart failure side effect + didn't know if i'd recover), but i'm at 5 year anniversary of terminal diagnosis + my heart is fantastic + i am so grateful to everyone responsible for herceptin, the drug that saves people like me + gives me hope for my young daughter. (i also had A,C,T chemos)

I was NOT happy when DX with Her2/neu breast cancer. But thank God literally for Dr. Slamon and all his hard work to get Herceptin out there for us woman. Herceptin is a life saver to so many of us. God bless you Dr. Slamon! Keep up the continued good work. Without you, so many of us woman with Her2 breast cancer would not be here. Your the "Man"!!!
