A little something we worked for school from the musical "Sweeney Todd - The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" by Stephen Sondheim; the recording isn't quite the best, but... hope you enjoy it! when I have a better one, I'll upload that one too. Piano: Adrian Nedea, helped by Bianca Soare; Mrs. Lovett: Bianca Papainopol; Sweeney Todd: Tudor Ionescu (that's me ;) ).

  • thank you so much for the kind comments. as I said, all this was only an experiment, and I understand that it was successful after all

  • This has NOTHING to do with Burton or Depp, maybe only with Stephen Sondheim, the composer. I didn't try copy Burton's film, and this is quite obvious, taking into consideration the difference of perspective. "Sweeney Todd" was written in the 1970s, as a Broadway musical and ever since they played it as a musical or operetta. Unfortunately for you, Burton's production was the only one you had as model. The second part of your message I find it rude and unconcerning, therefore I shall not comment

  • i love tim's version, but it is sad that barely any teens even know about about the play. good job man except for 1:49

im very sorry but it sounded mushed and the girl was behind. but other wise good job

    please dont be affended

im very sorry it was one second

    the rest was perfect

  • thank you for your comment; indeed, it hasn't been perfect, taking into consideration the few rehearsals we've done, but anyway, it definitely was a first for our school, and something very original. and that's one of the reasons why several youngsters in the audeince were talking, because it was something new to them

    again, thank you:)

  • why do people laugh???????

sweeney todd is a master piece!!! they shouldn't laugh

  • It was something new for them, i understand. we never played something like this before, you could see this by the organizational improvisations. also, both i and my partner had make-up on, so the image was pretty funny and out of the day-by-day look. and right you are, sweeney todd is one of the greatest musical works of the 20th century

  • I think the camera is from someone in the audience

    bad audience though

  • I think it was a really bad idea to put the camera right behind the people and not infront, If its a handheld camera it would obviously pick up the noise next to it.

and young kids or young dudes will be always commenting like retards.

you did a very good job in the song btw.

another recomendation would be.. plug the camera directly into the sound source.

  • hehe bravo...neseriosi colegi ai :D

  • Sounds really pants, sung too fast. So the timing is out

  • This wasnt bad.

You were good. Lovett was singing the wrong note at times.

Accompanist should not have been sightreading this.

    Your audience was disrespectful.

Their teachers should have shut them up.

Or their parents need to instill some values in them, If this were me, I would have stopped and started over.

Audience=crap. I wouldnt even consider them an actual audience. Just a bunch of douchebags that cant sit and listen for 3 minutes.

    Regardless of makeup etc.

  • geez, your audience kept talking/laughing :( you were great though :)

  • good job!!!!! luv this vid!!!
