  • R.I.P Don Cornelius, Your Legacy Will Live On Forever, The SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUL TRAIN!!!!!!!!

  • I never understood why Don Cornelius stepped down as the host when every week he would introduce the guest host. He should of have stayed on as host. He didn't have to dance with the ladies. He would just announce the music, give a brief interview, and that was it.

  • Who is that guy shown after Whitney Houston in the beginning, the lady after Bobby Brown, the man after Luther Vandross, what group is that shown at 0;09,the lady shown at 0:10 & the man shown at 0:22 ?, Idon't know those people since I saw this opening

  • This originally aired on April 1, 1995.

    Soul Train! Transform!

  • thank you Kostorm u bringing me back memories

  • 0:16, you can see the Lady of Soul trophy flashes beside Patti. I like it when Don used the African/"kente" graphic design in the opening. It recognized that Don wanted show to this generation (myself an "Y") back then to see the rich heritage of Black music. I both like the city/space intro and this African (or I say "Heritage") intros. I grew up watching both "Cornelius" and "post-Cornelius" season before it off the air in '06.

  • Back in the day. I remember my cartoons being over when I saw the train coming. haha

  • her name is susan and yes i loved talis and vale but my favorite was Tracey Dayze
