Magnificent - The Spooky Men's Chorale

This is my entry into the Spooky Men's Chorale competition.

I made by first creating a shot list. I took each line of lyrics and thought of whatever would be the most strange, wierdest thing that you'd never see anyone in thier right mind do. I then went and took those images as photos for three reasons. One is because I simply don't have access to a video camera. Secondly I didn't want to animate it since it seemed like the easy way out and that a cartoon image wouldn't have been as strange as seeing these things as something real. Finally the still images would better show what was going on because you could actually see what was going on better.
The images took me about three weeks to process to the point where that could be used in the video (using Photoshop) and were edited together with the music in Flash.

"1. they were all moving images rather than a compilation of stills
2. they all had the ability to take the visual activity places that surprised us, beyong what is more obviously suggested by the song
3. they had a certain sly humour which we felt matched our own."

I'm not exactly sure what it is, but i like it :-) Especially Gary & Dale's bunny ears and the russian man dancing part ! Very well put together love.
