As much as I like the newer handheld Castlevanias, there's something about the classic ones that's simply unmatched. I remember hearing this tune leading up to Dracula and also while fighting him, the level of tension was so great. The atmosphere was something else.

I will say this now, I love Illusionary Dance. It is a phenomenal arrangement, however, sometimes I feel it is a bit shallow when compared to this Dracula theme. Yes, Illusionary Dance is strong, vibrant and sinister but its showiness somewhat fails to differentiate itself from other boss themes (in general). The Dracula Battle theme here is oddly eerie and somber, and thus very fitting. This is the lord of darkness, and the end of your journey. This song and this battle transcends "catchy."

I don't really remember playing this as a kid or anything, but there's something about this song that fits Castlevania so perfectly. It makes me feel nostalgic without even remembering this part :P

When people say the greatest final boss theme of all-time is Dancing Mad from FF6 or something else to that effect, I like to think that they haven't listened to this song yet. Not saying anything about Final Fantasy or it's music, but SCIV has the better songs BY FAR in my opinion.
