This is a message from Tibetan who traveled to India on a pilgrimage to see His Holiness The Dalai Lama. The Tibetan confirms that the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing offer Tibetans and their supporters an unprecedented opportunity to draw attention to China's occupation of Tibet. The Tibetan also says that if the movement is started outside of Tibet, Tibetans are "ready and waiting" to take action inside Tibet.

2011 also saw Tibet achieving double-digit gross domestic product growth, Tibet's GDP is estimated to expand by 12.6 percent year-on-year to 60.5 billion yuan ($9.6 billion) this year.

Festival has been the biggest attraction towards tourists from home and abroad. The week-long Shoton Festival in summer, the peak travel season, alone drew 906,400 tourists to Tibet.

According to the release,
officers from Sichuan provincial
State Security Bureau arrested
another Kirti monk, Losang Tashi, 26, on charges of “making contacts
with foreign countries” in November 2011.
“He is presumed to be in Chengdu, but nothing more is known of his situation,” the release noted.

Tibetan question, said Sangay,

Administration (CTA).
"Without morality, Beijing will be feared
