@JoTheSweep the referee should have the same discretion on when to break up a clinch much as in ufc, but with a much lower tolerance for any stalling.

@Bi3berhole69 i love the thai clinch, but in K1 they do not want prolonged clinch battles, but rather more strikes from the outside. allowing double handed clinches would encourage clinch wars and really slow down the action in terms of strikes thrown. it would make it too subjective on when to break clinches if a fighter wanted to throw combinations of knees. Thatbeing said, I do think that you should be allowed to throw one knee with a double handed clinch, but I also enjoy the fast pace of k1

@hellishsweetness I agree the double hand clinch rule is retarded. Theres no reason it should be illegal, if i was a ref i would just disregard the rule.

i COULD care less what alot of MMA fans say, Alistair Overeem will always have my respect b/c he steps into other guys sports & FIGHTS them. When Badr Hari an Bonjasky were the best kickboxers in the world, and Overeem hadn't had a kickboxing fight in over 10 years, he challenged both of them and won. Ppl can laugh at him for saying he wants to fight the Klitschkos, but their is not a single UFC heavyweight that would even consider kickboxing Badr or Boxing Vitali. Overeem = future UFC champ

I guess they banned Overeem knees to avoid him to win the k-1, if they keep adding rules to k-1 it will be like a box match with a little kicks.
