@waynebollman Because Russert's GE overlords stood to profit mightily from them? As we witnessed over and over again, standing up against the war(s) was career suicide, and, having watched Meat The Press for decades, there's no way Russert was a good enough journalist to really stand up to anyone.

Have never understood any interest or journalistic credibility given to people like Tim Russert. Resoundingly pimping illegitimate wars of empire is not a tenet of legitimate journalism. Once again, Hunter will be vindicated, not that someone of his integrity ever needed any.
